Our Mission

Anchor of Hope Romania exists to glorify God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with orphaned and vulnerable children through discipleship, advocacy, and compassionate care.

Who We Are

Anchor of Hope Romania is a Christ-centered ministry serving orphaned and vulnerable children across Romania. For many children here, life begins with abandonment, poverty, trauma, or institutional care—realities no child should face alone.

We step into these places with the hope of Jesus Christ. Through consistent presence, loving relationships, and Gospel-centered discipleship, we seek to remind every child that they are seen, valued, and created with purpose by God.

Our ministry works in partnership with local churches, Romanian staff, and families to bring lasting spiritual and practical impact to children who are often forgotten by society.

What We Do

• Gospel-Centered Discipleship
We regularly visit orphanages and social apartments to share God’s Word, pray with children, and walk alongside them through mentoring and one-on-one relationships.

• Advocacy for Vulnerable Children
We advocate for the dignity, protection, and rights of abandoned and at-risk children, serving as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

• Foster Care & Adoption Support
We help identify and support loving foster and adoptive families—especially for children with special needs—and walk with them through the journey with prayer, encouragement, and resources.

• Family Support & Crisis Care
We provide guidance, counseling, and practical support to families in difficult situations, helping them remain stable and hope-filled.

• Camps & Community Building
Through summer camps and special gatherings, children experience joy, safety, and belonging while hearing the Gospel and building healthy relationships.

Why This Matters

In Romania today:

• 35.8% of children are at risk of poverty or social exclusion

• 400,000 school-aged children are not enrolled in school

• Over 50,000 children live in the social care system, separated from their families due to poverty, violence, or abandonment

Behind every statistic is a child created in God’s image—worthy of love, dignity, and hope.

Our Impact

By God’s grace, Anchor of Hope Romania has seen children move from institutions into families, hearts softened through the Gospel, young lives discipled, and families strengthened. We believe transformation happens not only through meeting physical needs, but through pointing each child to Jesus Christ—the true source of lasting hope.
