Mission Statement

Anchor of Hope exists to share Christ's love with the abandoned babies, orphans and the Romanian people by:

  • Providing love and care to abandoned babies in hospitals in Romania with basic care, medical supplies, as well as seven days a week of love from AOH staff and volunteers so they can develop normally and be placed in families.
  • Providing programs in government-run orphanages: educational classes, trafficking-prevention, as well as building relationships with the children while sharing Christ's love so they can discover their worth and make goals in their lives.
  • Providing support and education to young mothers who grew up in orphanages and now have their own babies.
  • Providing foster homes for children who would otherwise be placed in the orphanage system. AOH visits children regularly, provides supplies and support for both the foster family and the child, and follows up with regular evaluations.
About Us

Our vision is to see God glorified in the lives of the abandoned children and the people of Romania. Specifically, we want the children to:

  • Know they are loved by God and by us
  • Have hope for their future
  • Transform their lives through Christ
