Sharing the love of Christ- The
Anchor of Hope in a broken world-
with abandoned babies, orphans,
and the Romanian people.
Abandoned Baby Ministry
Anchor of Hope works with babies under the age of two years old in hospitals for abandoned babies. There are an avererage of 25-30 babies at a time in the hospital. We massage, feed, bathe, change, play with, and love on the babies. We also spend time with the Romanain staff and assist them when possible.
Anchor of Hope has a volunteer program for anyone interested in spending a few hours with adorable little angels.
"One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, how much I had in my bank account, or what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child." -unknown
Orphanage Ministry
Anchor of Hope works with children ages 7-17 from an orphanage in Bucharest. We spend time each week with the kids, teaching them life skills, english, Bible studies, etc. These children, who have no one in their lives, deserve love and attention just as much as any other child. Unfortunately, many times, these children are involved in drugs, prostitution, and other activities. Anchor of Hope exists to implement a program with these children, helping to keep them off the streets and in a safe environment where they can learn about the love of Christ.
We will soon be starting a "youth group" with these children each week- a place where the older kids can come, learn about God, eat, worship and enjoy fellowship. See blog for more details...

"It is not the physical pain that endangers orphans the most. It is the mental pain caused by stress from years and years of being neglected, pushed aside, disregarded, unloved, and made to feel undeserving, and in almost all cases, made to feel like a possession rather than an equal human being. Even more it is the lack of unconditional love, the right to be accepted, as a child and to be loved, as a child, no matter what you do is the most wounding."
